Mr. Chen has been licensed to practice in Hawaii since 2001 and has 20 years of experience. Over the course of his career, he has represented individuals in matters involving Hawaii trust disputes, Hawaii trust administration, trustee fiduciary duties, and beneficiary rights.
An experienced Hawaii trust litigator, Mr. Chen has appeared in both state and federal court. In addition, he is a skilled trust dispute negotiator and serves as an arbitrator for the Hawaii Court Annexed Arbitration Program. He has participated in numerous administrative hearings, arbitrations and mediations.
In addition to running his practice, Mr. Chen has held seminars for his corporate clients on litigation topics. He has also served as a presenter for the National Business Institute litigation seminars.
Mr. Chen is active in the Hawaii State Bar Association and belongs to the association’s litigation and insurance coverage litigation sections. He is a member of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association and serves as the Hawaii Membership Chair for the Defense Research Institute.
As a graduate of Punahou School, Mr. Chen went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He then received his law degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa William S. Richardson School of Law. While attending law school, he was a member of the Law Review.
